At Night during the blitz a leading fireman with the National Fire Service, by day working as an Engineer making Mosquito Aircraft parts.
Lionel eventually joined the London Co-operative society working as an engineer, but he wanted to build his own company thus came the beginning of L.E.L. Services, repairing and maintaining electric milk floats. He then sub contracted to Atlas Equipment and worked on Winkler machinery especially the Derby bread roll plant, spending many years at the various exhibitions in London and Europe. Throughout his working life he was always ready to help the customer whenever it was required. Sadly Lionel is no longer with us but with the assistance of his son,
